Hearing Instrument Technology
Not only are today’s hearing aids better looking, they do a much better job, especially in noisy rooms. The research is in! Digital hearing instrument technology is better. Computer chips are making hearing aids smart. They are able to automatically adjust volume and turn on and off noise management controls as you move from a quiet to noisy room. Hearing aids use several strategies to separate words from background nose and it works. People are enjoying improved hearing in noise with hearing aids.
At Advanced Audiology Concepts, we aren’t limited to one or two manufacturers’ products. We are able to dispense products from most companies and use hearing aids from many of the world’s leading manufacturers. This works to your advantage since one product line doesn’t fit all people. This allows us to find the best instrument for each client.
Several years ago, Ohio passed a law that gives you a 30 day right to return hearing aids. The right to return period allows you to see what hearing aids really do for you. Some folks need a little more time and are happy to give everyone a 45 day right to return on hearing aids we dispense.
All hearing aids come with a manufacturer warranty. This covers repair of anything that wears out or breaks. Most companies also give a one-time replacement in the first year for a lost aid. The warranty also covers follow-up visits for fine tuning, instruction and training on the hearing aids.
Another great feature with today’s hearing aids, is the programmability. That is we program them to match your hearing. The hearing aids can be reprogrammed to accommodate most changes in hearing.
The average life of a hearing aid is 5 to 7 years. During that time you will likely have some repairs. Just like a car will need some work, so will your hearing aids. For more information, give us a call at 440-205-8848.
